Characters · Aliens
Alien species encountered by humanity range from the ancient and enigmatic Hoag — a galactic superspecies whose very name was given to their home galaxy — to Server, the PureElectric intelligence whose origins remain unknown. This page covers named non-human individuals.
Ambassador Truk
Species: Hoag (Superspecies)
Classification: Motive Hoag
Home planet: Crawl — located at the 92nd degree in the Hoag galaxy
Age: Likely several million years old
Role: Hoag Ambassador to HomeWorld
Ambassador Truk is a representative of the Hoag, one of the oldest known species in the colonized universe. The Ambassador is a Motive Hoag — a designation suggesting a specific caste, function, or evolutionary branch within Hoag society.
Truk was brought to HomeWorld as part of a diplomatic exchange negotiated by the Sutton Expedition, an agreement struck more than three hundred years before Soo Lingg's birth. The Ambassador has therefore been a presence on HomeWorld for centuries, serving as the primary point of contact between humanity and the Hoag civilization.
The Hoag galaxy — from which the Ambassador originates — is the extra-galactic structure of the same name: a ring galaxy whose discovery by humanity marked a turning point in interstellar relations.

A Note on Server
Server is an alien entity of unknown origin but is classified as a PureElectric consciousness rather than a biological alien. See Characters · Artificial Life Forms for Server's full entry.
