An optical imaging device functioning like a contact lens. Captures visual information and transmits it directly to the wearer's optic nerve. Standard personal tech for the era.
ClearWrap
Transparent thermal clothing — a long, clear poncho or parka designed for protection against cold while leaving the body beneath fully visible. Typically worn while nude.
SoftSuit
A family of high-technology protective garments ranging from atmospheric coverings to full space suits. SoftSuits become Server symbionts when worn — integrating with Server to actively protect the wearer against radiation, vacuum, or other conditions hostile to human life. Required equipment for entering Ruin Conservancy Zones.
Pod (device aspect)
An emotional implant system enabling two people to share the same emotion simultaneously — typically joy or excitement. The device facilitates empathic transfer rather than information transfer.

DrugInjector
Also known as: "Violence Injector"
A term applied to members of the RedBubbleCult in what was once Lesotho — Genetic Original African stock who have remained in an isolated cult bubble, rejecting all technology and practicing extreme violence. The name "DrugInjector" is an external label. Cult members are monitored whenever they leave their zone.

LinX
A device that focuses incoming light rays. The underlying mechanism is unknown — LinX is a Hoag invention. Humanity borrowed (or stole) the alien technology and reverse-engineered their own version. When used in conjunction with gravitational lensing, the LinX allows the observer to look backwards in time. The only known instrument capable of temporal optical observation.

BlackFreeSpace
An encrypted private digital zone for exchanging personal content — typically sexual in nature — and even transferring emotional states. To Kiv emotionally within BlackFreeSpace is to share personal emotional experience in a completely private, secured channel.
MindFile (as object)
A transferable data file loaded directly into memory — biological cortex or PureDigital enhancement — by a second party. Functions as everything from a personal memo to a complete academic curriculum. Requires a prepared cortex to receive.

The enormous AI firewall constructed and maintained by the Exiters to seal Andromeda from Server, other AI, and biological life. Less a device than an infrastructure — an active, galaxy-scale technological barrier.

An Orbii's home — a personal habitat in space or orbit, adapted for zero-gravity living.
Proppi
An education station or personal home in space. Distinguished from OrbitalProppi by context — Proppi is the general term; OrbitalProppi is specifically an Orbii residence.
